MIT Campus is blessed with a single 220 acre ceramic land ideally suited for educational institutions but in close proximity of city limits and railway and airports and is being developed into multi faceted international campus in Engineering & Technology, Medicine and Health sciences and an IT Park. This Campus will one day be truly centre of excellence with participation of international University and joint programmes and research with national or international institutions.
European students, under Student exchange programme (para-medical field) is already studying at our campus. Our students will get similar opportunity to enhance their skill and knowledge by sharing and seeking knowledge aboard. The students get an opportunity for learning through realization, refocused learning- teaching process, building self-confidence with global outlook, achieving knowledge management with healthy and ethical habits, infusing self discipline and self-direction, self-discovering processes and transformation, innovative research, developing intellectual inputs and emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial development and other allied managerial activities in general with special reference to application of the learned skills in IT and IT related functional areas.
MIT- Anjarakandi, KANNUR functions independently offering undergraduate/graduate programmes in Engineering in CE, CSE, EEE and ECE and is affiliated to Kannur University.
This Campus and the Courses will be ultimately conceived as a centre of excellence, providing opportunities to the students to acquire a Degree in Engineering in approved Branches.
The curriculum is so designed that students from branches of Electrical & Communication Engineering, Electrical Electronics, Computer Science and Civil Engineering as well as future courses in other Engineering disciplines and PG programmes will follow the syllabus of Kannur University and to provide additional training facilities to make them suitable for excellent employment opportunities.
The analog and digital electronics circuits, net working technologies have grown enormously in complexity and functionality in the IT age. To cope up with this trend, knowledge and experience on the use of computer aided design automation tools have become mandatory. Also to have a thorough and in-depth study of Communication theory from a signal processes perspective as exemplified by courses like Advanced Digital Signal Processing, Coherent Optical Communication, and High speed Communication Networks and Error-Control coding. A broad theoretical base is provided through courses like Linear Operators and Integral Equations, Probability and Stochastic processes and Signal Detection and Estimation. The students also undergo laboratory programmes on the design and implementation of communication subsystems based on DSP modules and fiber-optic devices and components besides devoting their final semester entirely to the project work.
